Staff:

The staff provide advice and assistance to existing and potential Childcare providers, to Childminders and those thinking of Childminding, and to parents, on all childcare issues for children between the ages of 0 and 14.

Eugene Waters was appointed in April 2012. His duties include the planning of a co-ordinated approach to the development and implementation of the Wicklow County Childcare Committee's Strategic Plan 2011 - 2013.

Childcare Development Worker (South and West Wicklow):
Assumpta O'Neill, CDW since April 2003, has previously worked as a Rural Development Officer with Carlow Leader and has considerable experience in community and rural development. She has a B.Sc in Rural Development through UCD.

Childcare Development Worker (East Wicklow):
Susan Hill, CDW since March 2003, lives in Wicklow Town. She has a FETAC level 2 Childcare Certificate and a B.Sc in Rural Development through UCD. Susan worked for the Bank of Ireland for several years and has been involved in community activities.

Childcare Development Worker (North Wicklow)
Marie Cuddihy CDW since January 2007, lives in Bray and has a Social Science degree from UCD. She worked in IT with the Department of Social and Family Affairs for several years before taking some time to raise her family and attend UCD as a mature student. Marie is an active player in her community sitting on school, sporting and church committees. School age childcare is an area of particular interest to Marie.

Childminders' Advisor (North, East and South Wicklow):
Miriam O'Regan has been CAO since April 2004. Her background is in Education where she has taught at both Secondary and Primary level, and has, in addition, given training in Continued Professional Development for adults. She is currently completing a Diploma in Studies in Special Education Needs. Miriam is married with 3 children and lives in Avoca, Co. Wicklow

Administrator:
Gráinne Conroy joined as Administrator in November 2005 and lives in Wicklow. Her role involves financial administration of government funded childcare grant schemes, along with the day to day running of the WCCC office. In 2005 Gráinne graduated as a Member of the Institute of Accounting Technicians in Ireland. Her backround is in Office Management.

Assistant Part-Time Administrator:
Judy Collins joined as part-time administrator in January 2007. She has two children and lives in Wicklow Town. Her role involves organizing training courses run by the WCCC and production of the newsletter as well day to day administration duties. Her background is in Export Compliance, Office Administration and Customer Service. She is also actively involved on the Parents Council at the school where her children attend
